Walk 1, 14/6, to the Warburg Nature Reserve near Henley-on-Thames was enjoyed by 4 members and 2 guests. This is a large site with exceptional wild orchids, including Fly orchids at the time of our visit.
Sadly, not enough members were available for this year's trip to Dorset (walk 2, 25/6) so the outing had to be cancelled. Walk 3, 12/7, to Ascott was a great success with 4 members and 2 guests in one car! Highly recommended. Prolonged inclement weather led to the next 2 planned walks/outings, the British Wildlife Centre (walk 4, 26/7) and Waltham Abbey (walk 5, 9/8) being cancelled. Maybe next year? Just 2 members attended the local outing to Cassiobury Farm (walk 6, 23/8). It was great fun with the bonus of a 'Bug Bonanza'.
