Effective from 2021, VISIONS is discontinued.
The VISIONS 2020 Final was held on Wednesday 25th November as a virtual event via Zoom.
Due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, VISIONS 2020 was an entirely virtual event. It was sad to miss out on the human contact and social interaction that we have traditionally enjoyed at the Stanborough Centre, and we never got to meet our guest judge, Richard Speirs APAGB DPAGB BPE2*, except via teleconferencing on Zoom. Nevertheless, a record number of individuals and clubs took part in the competition and the standard of entries for VISIONS 2020 was exemplary.
There were 115 individual entries (345 images) of which 51 were nominated to represent the 17 clubs competing for the club trophy.
The Individual Winner, with an aggregate score of 58 points, was Andy Sands of XRR Photographic Society. Andy tied with Robin Claydon of Hertford and District Camera Club but won on the tie-breaker rule with his tie-beak image, Acorn Weevils, Circulio glandium.
There was also a tie for the VISIONS Club Trophy, Hertford and District Camera Club tying with Oxford Photographic Society on 158 points. Oxford PS retain the trophy with Buried Fence by Steve Field as the Judge’s tie-break choice. Commiserations to Hertford and District CC for coming so close to taking home both trophies

We were delighted to see so many individual photographers supporting this event. We would like to thank all those who competed, everyone that attended the Zoom Finals, and particularly Richard Speirs for his insightful judging and commentary.
