Ron Wake Final

The Ron Wake Memorial Trophy was held at Harrow CC this evening. The final selection of 21 prints were judged expertly with succinct and interesting comments by Ron Tear. Ron selected Tintype Portrait by Craig Pollock of Field End PS as the winning image. Ron also brought along a sample selection of his own prints which made for an interesting evening.

​The winning image looked clearly like a digital simulation of the 19th century tintype process. Coincidentally, I recently came across a collection of true tintypes by a US photographer, Joni Sternbach.
